There is no question that 2022 has been a very interesting year as it relates to the gaming world to say the least. When it comes down to high profile video games in relation to ’22 one of the few titles that has managed to be a massive commercial success is Elden Ring. As a RPG title Elden Ring has to be the most popular game within its genre as it relates to 2022. As it relates to the survival-horror genre one of the most high profile video games to have emerge from ’22 is Techland’s Dying Light 2: Stay Human game. Dying Light 2: Stay Human provides players with a great gaming experience that is worthy successor to the original installment from 2015. Dying Light 2 was well polished and had impressive parkour gameplay mechanics along with a combat system that casual gamers could easily become accustomed to. Its quite possible that Dying Light 2 could have easily been overshadowed by Resident Evil: Village if the game was last year in 2021 considering how much mainstream attention it received. Even though, some would go on record and argue that the original Dying Light game from ’15 was better Dying Light 2: Stay Human was one of the few high profile video games from ’22 that was not a complete disaster during its launch. As a cross-platform survival-horror game Dying Light 2: Stay Human is quite possibly the biggest title of 2022.
