Does Kingdom Hearts deserve its own movie?

It hard to believe that the Kingdom Hearts series has been around for over 20 years and there has not been one movie for the game since its inception. When it comes down to anything Disney related as it pertains video games the Kingdom Hearts series is one of the most popular things to have emerged within the past two decades. The very first Final Fantasy game was released back in ’02 and was considered to be a huge commercial success reaching over 5.6 million copies in sale while the ’05 sequel Kingdom Hearts II was considered to be one of the best installments within the entire series alongside Chain of Memories from 2004. Even though, Kingdom Hearts III from ’19 sold over 6.7 million copies worldwide within the past few years the game was criticized mainly for its pacing in relation its storyline. However, the commercial success of all three Kingdom Hearts games shows that the series is considered to be a huge attraction among casuals especially children and there is currently a ton of hype in relation to the upcoming release of Kingdom Hearts IV. While video game movies normally fall below the desired expectations of hardcore gaming fans titles produced by film and television distribution companies like Paramount Pictures have proven the opposite with the two Sonic the Hedgehog movies from 2020-2022. While the directors and actors of gaming movies are also huge factors in how successful a video game film can become trying to adapt something like Kingdom Hearts to the big screen does not seem like something that would be too problematic. If Kingdom Hearts were to have its own movie it would be better off as a animated film with voice actors who are perfectly suited for the role of characters like Sora , Riku, Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck. The idea of a Kingdom Hearts movie would create a lot of buzz within the gaming world considering the mainstream recognition it has received within the past two decades. But its unlikely that Disney is going to release a Kingdom Hearts movie anytime soon especially many people would agree that the series is a bigger attraction within the realm of video games.
