One of the most anticipated action-adventure games that is set to be released this upcoming year is Spider-Man 2 for the PlayStation 5. The reveal trailer for Spider-Man which included both Spider-Man’s and Venom was very impressive and it has many people optimistic about the future of the series. Spider-Man 2 will be developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment and will be the direct sequel to the Spider-Man PS4 game that came out back in 2018. The Spider-Man game from ’18 managed to reach at least 20 million copies in sales on the PS4 and is considered to be one of the greatest action-adventure games of the past decade. Similar to how the Spider-Man game from ’18 was a PS4 exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is going to be solely on the PlayStation 5. While some believe that making a PS5 exclusive will hurt the sales of Spider-Man 2 the prequel did just fine on its own. The inclusion of Venom in this upcoming Spider-Man game is one of the main reasons why people want to checkout Spider-Man 2 mainly because we are still in the dark about gameplay features concerning this upcoming title. The PS5 has already reached over 17 million units in sales despite the COVID-19 pandemic which shows that people are willing to buy the game system which costs over $499 in America. Hopefully, we learn more about Spider-Man 2 for the PlayStation 5 before the end of 2022.
