As many people know Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has been available for the Nintendo Switch since December 2017 and since then has become one of the most popular JRPG’s for that console within the past two years. Many people have praised Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for its visuals, gameplay and storyline especially Torna- The Golden Country DLC Story which set five centuries prior to the one in main game. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a game that is arguably more popular than its 2010 predecessor for the Wii console and has reportedly reached at least 1.73 million copies in relation to sales. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is one of the better high profile RPG’s that Monolith Soft has developed within the 10’s decade along the likes of Xenoblade Chronicles X which was released for the Nintendo Wii-U back in 2015.

The fact that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was a Nintendo Switch exclusive is something that definitely worked in favor of the game itself. If Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was released for multiple game consoles its value may have been diminished since it would have been easier to access. Seeing that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is getting closer to reaching 2 million in sales it will be interesting to see how much more success the game has between now and 2020.
