Mortal Kombat 11 looks like it’s shaping up to be one of the best fighting games of 2019 and many people are excited for its upcoming release on April 23th. Not too long ago it was revealed that The Kollector was going to be added to MK 11 as a brand new character along with the likes of Cetrion, Geras and the main antagonist Kronika. As far as older characters from the MK series is concerned we just learned that Kitana will also return in Mortal Kombat XI as a playable character. Kitana is a 10,000 year old Edenian warrior has been a part of the MK series since 1993 when she made her debut in Mortal Kombat II.

For the most part Kitana has been considered to be a heroic character throughout MK series up until Mortal Kombat X which came out back in 2015. Ever since Mortal Kombat X Kitana has been a villainess who rules the Netherrealm alongside Liu Kang after being killed in Mortal Kombat IX and resurrected by Quan-Chi. Kitana is now a evil revenant of her former incarnation and is still a character that many people are still quite fond of despite her alignment with the Netherealm. The roster for MK11 looks very impressive along with the gameplay which is bloodier and gorier than the last two installments in the Mortal Kombat series.
