When we think about some of the most popular games that were released on the Wii-U between the late 00’s-early 10’s both Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime: The Other M are two games that instantly comes to mind. As many people know Super Mario Galaxy was obviously more successful than Metroid Prime: The Other M was since it managed to reach over 12 million units worldwide in sales. Despite, how popular Super Mario Galaxy was on the Wii console as of right now Super Mario Odessey is even more popular on the Nintendo Switch and its been that way since 2017. While we already have a Mario game for Nintendo we know for a fact that we will not see the release Metroid Prime 4 for the Switch console anytime in the near future.

As it currently stands Metroid Prime 4 is being redeveloped by Retro Games the same developer for The Metroid Prime Trilogy. With that being said it makes more sense to bring Metroid Prime: The Other M to the Nintendo Switch while we wait for the release of Metroid Prime 4 which may not occur until 2020 or 2021. Quite honestly both games deserve to be one the Nintendo Switch but it would be nice to have a Metroid title on the hybrid console within the next year or two.
