When we think about big games that really should have been on the PS1 Classic that never made it Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is one of the many titles that instantly comes to mind. In fact, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was arguably one of the best games within its series and it was definitely a game that could of replaced the likes of Cool Boarders 2 or even Battle Arena Toshinden which were two titles that many people really did not care much about. The reason why Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was never on the PS1 Classic is something that is still a mystery to many people. Despite, not being a 3D game like many other selections for the PS1 Classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was an awesome metroidvania-adventure game that many people would have loved to play on the PS1 Classic.

The idea of releasing a retro based game system with 3D graphics that are way more inferior than what we have for the PlayStation 4 does not make to much sense. In this case, having more 2D games such as Castlevania: Symphony of the Night along with Chrono Trigger could have helped the PS1 Classic become more of an attraction in the long run. But at the same time the price drop of the PS1 Classic on Amazon can possibly help it sell more a lot faster in a shorter period of time.
