When it comes down to crossover fighting games that would be considered a dream come true one of the many concepts that people have dreamed of since the 90’s is the possibility of a Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat game. In theory, a Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat sounds like it has the potential to be a huge attraction along with becoming one of the greatest crossover fighting video games of all-time. However, the question would be would the gameplay be closer to that of Street Fighter or Mortal Kombat in a potential crossover fighting title between the two. It’s quite possible that the gameplay that we saw for DC Universe vs Mortal Kombat in 2008 would be most fitting in relation to a crossover game between Street Fighter and MK.

Despite, both the Street Fighter and the Mortal Kombat series being popular for over the past two decades its surprising that a crossover game involving characters from both series has never happened. Also, it seems like Capcom, NetherRealm Studios and Activision has no plans on making a Street Fighter vs Mortal Kombat game a reality anytime soon. However, a crossover game between Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat would be very interesting especially if there was a captivating storyline behind it.
