As many people know Dragon Quest XI has been available for multiple game systems such as the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch since July 2017. Despite, its popularity since its release Dragon Quest was not released in America for consoles such as the Nintendo Switch which has many people wondering whether or not it will ever happen in the future. Dragon Quest XI definitely had the potential to be a success in America on the Nintendo Switch more so than it does on the PlayStation 4. As far as big RPG titles are con Dragon Quest XI would only have to compete with the likes of Octopath Traveler, Xenoblade Chronicles, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and a few others.

However, there so many RPG’s for the PlayStation 4 that are very popular such as Persona 5, Final Fantasy XV and others that has definitely overshadowed Dragon Quest XI since its release. Bringing the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest XI to America would of made even more sense than PS4 port. But its always possible that Square Enix will release the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI in America sometime in the future hopefully between 2019-2020.
