As many people know the Seiken Densetsu series is legendary and as been around since the early 90’s. Since the early 90’s we saw big games within the series such as Seiken Densetsu 2/Secret of Mana along with Seiken Densetsu 3 which both appeared on the SNES between 1993-1995. Many would argue that the series had reached its peak following the release of Seiken Densetsu 2. Ever since Secret of Mana came out it ended up becoming one of the most popular Action-RPG’s to have ever appeared on the SNES back in the early 90’s. While Seiken Densetsu 3 remained a Japanese exclusive for the SNES we did get to see another game called the Legend of Mana which was released in 1999 for the PS1.

Since then we got to some other games within the series including Sword of Mana for the Game Boy Advance along with Children of Mana for the Nintendo DS between 2003-2006. It was during 2006 where Seiken Densetsu 4/Dawn of Mana appeared on the PlayStation 2. While Dawn of Mana fell below the expectations of many people there are still those who are long time fans of the series would love to see a Seiken Densetsu 5 for a current generation console such as the Nintendo Switch or the PS4. However, if Square Enix ever decides to make a Seiken Densetsu 5 going back to the 16 bit graphics and gameplay used in Secret of Mana dud the early 90’s for the SNES would definitely be a great idea.

The visuals and gameplay for Dawn of Mana was completely different from what fans were used to seeing in the Seiken Densetsu series which might be one of the many reasons why the game did not live up to the expectations of critics. If Square Enix decides to make a Seiken Densetsu 5 then returning to their roots should be a prior in a potential upcoming release of this game. But as of right now it seems like Square Enix has no plans whatsoever on making a Seiken Densetsu 5 and it’s unlikely that it will ever happen.
