When it comes down to popular racing titles between that late 00’s and the early 10’s there are so many titles that comes to mind such as Forza Motorsport 2-5 along with Gran Turismo 5 which many people enjoyed since their respective releases. As far as popular titles outside of the Gran Turismo and Forza series are both concerned games such as Race Driver: Grid and Blur are two that some instantly think of from the late 00’s early 10’s time period.

Race: Driver Grid was a game that offered players unforgettable racing experience as players had the opportunity to own their own garage while earning different licenses to race on various race tracks such as America, Europe and Japan. Winning prize money to purchase new vehicles while having to competing the annual Tour de France event was a great racing experience for those who played Race Driver: Grid. The downside to Race Driver: Grid was that sometimes the artificial intelligence in the game was a little too much for beginners. Aside from difficulty in relation to A.I. opponents Race Driver Grid was possibly one of the best racing game of 2008.

Blur on the other hand which was released back in 2010 was also a pretty cool racing title with a lot of potential. In fact many people believed for a short period of time that Blur has the potential to compete with Nintendo ‘s Mario Kart series in terms of popularity. Blur was a solid racing game created by Bizarre Creations and published by Activision that had impressive gameplay and outstanding visuals thanks to the Horizon game engine. Despite, Blur not becoming a commercial success there was talk on the game having a direct sequel until Bizarre Creations became defunct back in 2011.

While both Blur and Race Driver: Grid were exciting racing titles following their respective releases there is no doubt whatsoever that many people have their own preferences in terms of which game they liked better. But as far as which game was better in quality, gameplay and realism many people would most likely give the edge to Race Driver: Grid over Blur in general.
