As many people know Mega Man 11 is expected to appear on multiple game consoles such as the PlayStation 4, Xbox One along with Microsoft Windows on October 2nd. While Mega Man 11 is a title that the world has been waiting to see since its prequel Mega Man 10 was released back in 2010 there are many who are questioning whether or not this opens the door for a possible Mega Man X9 game in the future. The last time that Capcom has ever released a Mega Man X game was back in the early 00’s when MMX8 was initially released for the PlayStation 2 back in late 2004.

Ever since, the Mega Man X series first began in 1993 on the SNES there are some would argue that its way more popular than the original one. We got to see interesting characters such as Zero along with Sigma who are considered to be iconic figures within the Mega Man franchise which made a majority of the MMX games exciting for those who have followed it since the early 90’s. As of right now there has not been much talk about Capcom releasing a direct sequel to Mega Man X8. However, if Capcom ever decides to make a sequel to Mega Man X8 going back to the basics in relation to 16-bit graphics and gameplay which made the X series popular to begin with back in the early to mid 90’s would be a pretty good idea. Also, having catchy soundtracks along with compelling storytelling were also huge elements in some of the older Mega Man X titles which made them irresistible play especially in relation to Mega Man X-X5 games.
