There were many people who were surprised about the announcement regarding the re-release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles on both the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch. As of late we have not seen too many big Final Fantasy titles on home based Nintendo consoles and there was uncertainty on whether or not Square Enix was going to release any for the Nintendo Switch in the future. Seeing that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2019 there some who wonder whether or not any more popular Final Fantasy games will show on the Nintendo Switch as well.

There were Wii titles back in the 00’s such as Final Fantasy Echoes of Time which came back on in 2009 that people would love to see on the Nintendo Switch. Also, games such as Final Fantasy XV is something that many people have wanted to see on the Nintendo Switch since 2017. There is no question that Square Enix has been more open to developing games for the Nintendo Switch seeing that like Octopath Traveler was released for the hybrid console this past summer in July 2018. As of late it seems like Nintendo and Square Enix have been on much better terms which a good thing since it opens the door for more Final Fantasy games to appear on the Switch console in the future.
