As many people know the Mario Tennis series has been around since the early 00’s when the first installment of the series was released for the Nintendo 64 back in the Summer of 2000. Since the release of the very first Mario Tennis title the game has been critically acclaimed and developed into a series throughout the past 18 years. However, there are some who wonder whether or not the very first Mario Tennis game would have been a success if it started out on the 16 bit Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in the 90’s. On one hand a 16 bit Mario Tennis game could have definitely been successful between 1990-1993 since 3D gaming did not started to become very popular until around the mid 90’s.

But since the Nintendo 64 had better visuals and gameplay along with everything being in 3D a Super Nintendo version of Mario Tennis would not have been as appealing as what we got for the Nintendo 64. It’s good that the Mario Tennis series started out back in 2000 for the Nintendo 64 and as of right now everyone is currently Mario Tennis Aces for the Nintendo Switch right now.
