When it comes down to top fighting games that many people want to see on the Nintendo Switch Mortal Kombat 9 is definitely a title that would be at the top of many people’s list. Mortal Kombat 9 was one of the hottest fighting titles of the early 10’s along with the lines of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter IV. Mortal Kombat 9 received a very positive reception for various features including the gameplay which featured X-Ray moves along with super meters that allowed players to utilize special attacks. Also, the story mode for Mortal Kombat 9 was amazing since the cinematic cutscenes revisited events from MK1 to MK3.

In fact the cutscenes from the story mode in Mortal Kombat 9 looked better than the actual movies that came out back in the 90’s. The 3D graphics along with the 2D gameplay looked perfect on the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 due to the utilization of the Unreal Engine 3. Since the Nintendo Switch is a game system that can also run the Unreal Engine seeing Mortal Kombat 9 on the hybrid console definitely sounds like it could work in theory. However, there has been no talk of NetherRealm Studios bringing the game to the Nintendo Switch whatsoever. In fact we are still waiting to hear more about the upcoming sequel to Mortal Kombat X.
