As many people know the Battletoads series will be returning in 2019 for the Xbox One. While there are many retro gamers who are excited about the return of Battletoads next year there are some who question on whether not its wise to make it an Xbox One exclusive. On one hand making the new Battletoads title available only for the Xbox One adds to the value of the game. Those who were fans of Battletoads series back in the early 90’s would possibly consider buying an Xbox One in the near future.

However, in this current era of gaming it seems like RPG’s and shooters are among the most popular genres for consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. Some would argue that the upcoming Battletoads title would standout more on a console such as the Nintendo Switch where retro themed games seem to shine more. This is not to say that Battletoads will not be a success on the Xbox One. If anything the quality of the game itself and how much lasting appeal it has will be main factors of how well Battletoads will do on the Xbox One in 2019.
