There were countless VGM’s from the early 90’s that were considered to be memorable classics for both the Super Nintendo Entertainment System along with the Sega Genesis. If you were a fan of the platform genre of gaming during the 16 bit era then you may remember classic tracks such as Shinobi 3’s Whirlwind or Spark Mandrill’s Theme from Mega Man X. Both theme songs were unique and added life to their respective game. In terms of which theme song was better is debatable depending if one is more of a Super Nintendo or Sega Genesis fan.

Even though, Mega Man X was full of memorable soundtracks some would probably give Shinobi 3’s Whirlwind theme the slight edge in terms of quality. There was no doubt that the soundchip for the Sega Genesis was great but the Whirlwind track from Shinobi 3 sounded like something that would be nearly impossible for the SNES to replicate in terms of quality. Shinobi 3 was one of the few titles where the world had the chance to see what the Sega Genesis soundchip was really capable of.
