For those who have not already heard Yacht Club has recently Ann that Shovel Knight has managed to sell over 2 million copies worldwide since its release back in the Summer of 2014. As far as game systems are concerned Shovel Knight reportedly had the most success on Microsoft Windows and Nintendo 3DS in relation to sales followed by the Nintendo Switch. Shovel Knight being a success on game systems like the Nintendo 3DS along with the Switch only makes sense considering the fact that the retro 2D style of gaming seems to stand more on those consoles opposed to the PS4 and the Xbox One.

There is no doubt that Shovel Knight had ended up becoming more successful than most people expected to when the game was first released back in 2014. Seeing how successful Shovel Knight has been so far it would not be too surprising if we got to see a Shovel Knight 2 in the near future. Yacht Club Games definitely have the potential to turn Shovel Knight into a legendary 2D series which would definitely be something that many people would like to see.
