It has been recently revealed that OtherSide Entertainment is currently developing System Shock 3 which will be released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC in the near future. The fact that we are going to see a System Shock 3 at all is pretty exciting and at the same time surprising. The last game in the series System Shock 2 was released back in the summer of 1999.

When System Shock 2 was released it was never ported to any game consoles outside of Microsoft Windows unless you count OS X and Linux. Also, System Shock 2 had utilized the Dark Engine which makes us wonder what type of game engine will be utilized for System Shock 3. There is no doubt that System Shock 3 will be one of the most highly anticipated games of the 10’s decade.
