There were so many cool games from the 00’s that the gaming world got the pleasure of seeing. However, when it comes down to action based beat em up games Viewitful Joe is probably the main title that stands out. Viewtiful Joe was developed and released by Capcom in 2003 for the Nintendo GameCube before being ported for the PS2 in 2004.

The look and feel of Viewtiful Joe was very unique. The idea of having 2D gameplay with 3D cel-shaded graphics was a concept that made Viewtiful Joe stand out from other platform and beat up games back in the early 00’s. In fact, the style and the way the gameplay for Viewtiful Joe was designed is what made the game itself critically acclaimed by numerous publications.

As far as a remake for the game is concerned it was revealed back in November 2017 that Hideki Kamiya was interested in producing some type of HD Remake for Viewtiful Joe in the future. Seeing a remake of Viewtiful Joe on the PS4 or even the Nintendo Switch would be something that many people would look forward to.
