When we look at Mega Man and Sonic the Hedgehog in general both series were very popular back in the early 90’s. In terms of which video game series was better is debatable among many people in the gaming world but there is no doubt that the Sonic the Hedgehog series had the edge over Mega Man during the 16 bit era of gaming. Ever since, Sonic Mania was released for various game consoles last year it has been seen as one of the best 2D platform games of the 10’s decades.

But to be fair a 2D Sonic the Hedgehog title resembling the Sonic trilogy from the Sega Genesis is something that many people have wanted to see for a very long time. Mega Man 11 in some ways looks similar to Mighty No. 9 in terms of graphics which is something that too many people weren’t expecting. However, nobody ever thought there would be a Mega Man 11 at all.

Also, once the news broke about the development of Mega Man 11 it was trending on Twitter. There is no doubt that Mega Man 11 will do well in sales on consoles such as the Nintendo Switch. But it’s hard to tell whether or not Mega Man 11 will be more successful than Sonic Mania.
