It’s been a while since we have seen a DarkStalkers game from Capcom. One of the latest games in the series was entitled DarkStalkers Resurrection which was developed by Iron Galaxy Studios and released for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 back in the Spring of 2013. The idea of seeing another DarkStalkers game quite possibly for the PS4 or the Xbox One would be pretty cool.

However, a few years ago it was revealed that Capcom producer Yoshinori Ono said there were no plans to make a sequel. It understandable that there were no plans to make a sequel due to low sales and possible lack of interest in the set itself. There are games such as DarkStalkers: Resurrection that would probably be better off as being exclusively for one console as opposed to multiple. For example, if the latest DarkStalkers game was exclusively for the Wii or the Wii-U it could possibly done better in terms of sales.

When it comes down to gaming for the PS4 or the Xbox One RPG and shooter titles are generally considered to be mainstream in countries like America. If Capcom ever decides to work on another DarkStalkers title making it exclusively for the Nintendo Switch would be interesting.
