When it comes down to action adventure third person shooter games Grand Theft Auto Vice City was arguably one of the most popular titles within that genre for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.  For the PlayStation 2 Grand Theft Auto Vice City had reportedly sold over 16 million units worldwide for that console alone.  However, the fact that Grand Theft Auto Vice City was very popular for the PS2 is understandable considering the fact that it was arguably the best game console of the 00’s decade.  If the game was released on the Nintendo GameCube back in the early 00’s it could have easily been one of the best selling games for that console.

When it comes down to quality and graphics the Nintendo GameCube was pretty solid but some might argue that it was not on the same level as the PS2 or Xbox.   Also, there were in the past that Grand Theft Auto was supposed to be released for the Nintendo GameCube but ended up being cancelled for whatever reason.  If Grand Theft Auto was released on the Nintendo GameCube back in 2002 it still could have done great in sales considering the fact that it would have been the first game in the series to be featured on that console.
