When it comes down to Soul Calibur V the game had mainly revolved around the main characters Patroklos and Pyrrha Alexander.  While Soul Calibur VI is expected to revisit the events revolving around the original Soul Calibur game some might question whether or not Patroklos and Pyrrha should appear in the game altogether.  If Project Soul wants briefly to explain the events of Soul Calibur V for those who never played the game then having Patroklos and Pyrrha Alexander would make sense to some degree.  However, if Soul Calibur VI focuses only on the events from the very first Soul Calibur game then there may not be much of a reason to have Patroklos or Pyrrha as playable characters.

After what happened in Soul Calibur V some could argue that it might have been the first and possibly the last game that Patroklos and Pyrrha Alexander may appear in as playable characters considering the fact they supposedly destroyed both the Soul Edge and the Soul Calibur swords. However, if both characters were mentioned or even made some type of appearance in Soul Calibur VI for storyline purposes then it would definitely make the game itself more interesting overall.
