‘When we look back at fighting titles from the early 10’s there were some pretty cool titles for consoles such as PS3 and the Xbox 360 such as Soul Calibur V If Project Soul had made the decision to port Soul Calibur V to the Nintendo Wii back in 2012 it would have been kinda tough to predict how well the game would have done in sales. After all, we haven’t really seen a major Soul Calibur game on any home based Nintendo consoles since Soul Calibur II which was released for the Nintendo GameCube back in 2003. The cool thing about the Nintendo GameCube version of Soul Calibur II was the fact that Link from the Legend of Zelda was an exclusive character in that game.

If Soul Calibur V was ported for the Nintendo Wii back in 2012 then having Link return as an exclusive character could have definitely worked. However, trying to fit Link into the story mode of Soul Calibur V could have ended up being an issue. Also, it seemed like Project Soul were trying to build the game mainly around Pyrrha and Patroklos in relation to the story mode of Soul Calibur V. While its possible that a Wii version of Soul Calibur V could have definitely worked in theory there are many who believe that the game may not have done as well in terms of sales in comparison to the PS3 or the Xbox 360 versions of the game.
