There is no doubt what so ever that the original Sonic Riders game is arguably the best Sonic racing game ever.  Not only was Sonic Riders a fun title of play on the PlayStation 2 and the Nintendo Gamecube back in the 00’s but in terms of sales the game actually did pretty decent.  On the Nintendo Gamecube Sonic Riders came close to selling over one million units worldwide which is saying a lot.   Even though, the PS2 version of Sonic Riders was did not sell as much as the Gamecube version it just goes to show how much the game stood out on a Nintendo based game console back in the day.  There were various aspects about Sonic Riders that many people who played the game enjoyed.

The concept of racing on hover boards along with the addition of new characters, cool level designs along with an interesting story and a decent soundtrack was something that many people were actually quite surprised to see.  If Sonic Riders is re-released for the Nintendo Switch the game can ultimately end up being on of the top racing titles on the console next to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
