Mortal Kombat 9 was arguably one of the most popular fighting games in 2011 and was considered to be a major success on both the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. When it came down to sales Mortal Kombat 9 had managed to sell well over two millions worldwide on both consoles separately with the PS3 version almost reaching three million.

If Mortal Kombat 9 was released for the Nintendo Wii it possibly could have done decent in terms of sales. After all, we did get to see Mortal Kombat Armageddon for the Nintendo Wii back in 2007. The fact that the Wii version MK: Armageddon paled in comparison to the PS2 version as far as sales are concerned might have one of the many reasons why Mortal Kombat 9 wasn’t included on the Nintendo Wii.
