There are many people who would argue that in terms of gameplay Street Fighter III: Third Strike was better than any of the Street Fighter II titles that came out in the early 90’s.  While there were multiple versions of Street Fighter II including World Warrior, Hyper Fighting, Champion Edition, and Super Street Fighter II Turbo each one of them seemed like they were more popular on a commercial level in comparison to Street Fighter III.

The Street Fighter II series had more memorable characters such as Cammy, Fei-Long, Vega, Sagat and others who were not included in Street Fighter III.  But without a doubt Street Fighter felt like it had more creativity when it came down to soundtracks andin game mechanics.
