Ever since the release of Pikmin 3 back in the summer of 2013 the world has been waiting for a sequel for the game.  Years ago we thought that Nintendo was going to release a Pikmin 4 game for the Wii-U but ever since the console was discontinued we are now more likely that game on the Nintendo Switch if there any plans to actually make it happen.

As far as sales are concerned Pikmin 3 had actually done pretty well considering the fact that the game sold at least 200,000 units beforethe end of 2013 which may have exceeded the expectations of many people at the time.  Seeing another real time strategy game involving the Pikmin series on the Nintendo Switch would be exciting if Nintendo ever decides to go forward with the development of Pikmin 4 which Shigeru Miyamoto had previously confirmed had started in 2015.
