Back in the early 90’s the beat em up genre of gaming was very popular in both arcade centers and with home based consoles such as the SNES.  This was especially true with games such as the Final Fight series. While some people might argue that the series slowly started to decline in popularity shortly after the first Final Fight game others  would say that the whole trilogy were enjoyable classics.

In fact when you go to most used game stores nowadays such as Game X Change games such as the Final Fight series for the SNES are generally hard to find.  The fact that any of the Final Fight titles are tough to find in most used video game stores gives people an idea on how valuable certain games were and still are to this day.

Even though, the Final Fight series was popular back in the early to mid 90’s the gaming world has changed a lot since then. The beat em up genre of gaming has declined since the early 90’s and never reached the same level of popularity since then.  However, adding titles such as the Final Fight series to the SNES Classic Edition will give the console more variety in relation gaming genres.
