Many people in the gaming world have been waiting for the release of the SNES Mini since the release of the Nintendo NES classic.  While it’s seems like the SNES Classic is more popular than the NES Classic many are wondering if it trumps the handheld Sega console with numerous retro games build into it.  The answer probably depends if you are a Nintendo fan opposed to Sega and vice versa.

However, when it comes down to 2D video games some might argue that the old school SNES had better sprites and graphics than the Sega Genesis which arguably had a better soundchip.  The games that are supposed to appear on the SNES Classic such as F-Zero, Earthbound, Final Fantasy III, Mega Man X, Zelda: Link to the Past and others are among titles that made the original SNES arguably one of the best 2D consoles of the 90’s.

While some might argue that the handheld Sega bundle was more popular following its release it seems like the SNES Classic has gained a lot of mainstream attention especially regarding the amount of pre-orders it currently has.
