Super Mario 3D World is one of the many st popular games for the Nintendo Wii-U along with games such as Mario Kart 8 and the New Super Mario Bros U.  In term of sales Super Mario 3D World had managed to sell over 4.7 million units worldwide since its release back in late 2013.  Super Mario 3D World unfortunately was an exclusive title for the Wii-U which makes people wonder how much the game would have sold if it was backwards compatible with the original Nintendo Wii.

Super Mario 3D World for the Wii-U is one of the few 3D  multiplayer platform titles of the 10’s decade that has high replay value and its a lot tougher than it looks to complete with or without help.  In fact, the lack of backwards compatibility feature in Super Mario 3D is probably one of the things that helped it out in terms of sales.  Also, exclusive titles such as Super Mario 3D World played a role in drawing  the interest of people who probably thought twice about purchasing the Wii-U console.
