As we all know Metroud Prime 4 was recently announced for the Nintendo Switch. Many people Haven been waiting a long time to see a sequel to Metroid Prime 3 Corruption which was released almost a decade ago for the Nintendo Wii back in 2007. Ever since Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released for the Nintendo Wii the game had reportedly managed to sell over 1.7 million units worldwide.

The good thing about Metroid Prime 3 Corruption in terms of sales was that it had managed to surpass its direct prequel Metroid Prime 2: Echoes in sales. Since its release in late 2004 Metroid Prime 2: Echoes managed to sell over 1.3 million units worldwide for the Nintendo GameCube. While the Metroid Prime 2 & 3 did good in terms of worldwide sales they both pale in comparison to the original Metroid game which was first released in late 2002. The original Metroid Prime game had managed to sell over 2.8 million units worldwide since its release and will be interesting to see if Metroid Prime 4 can top the original game in terms of overall sales in the future.
