It was recently reported that FIFA 18 will indeed be released for the Nintendo Switch which is a good thing for those who own a Nintendo Switch.  While having a FIFA game for the Nintendo Switch is exciting news the only catch is that the game will be using a different game engine unlike the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game.  Also, FIFA 18 will not have journey mode on the Nintendo Switch version which is something that can arguably affect the sales for that console in the long run.  In fact, the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 is called FIFA on the Nintendo Switch.   Some of these things can play a huge factor in determining the success or potential failure of the FIFA 18 on the Nintendo Switch.  While having a portable version of FIFA 18 would be fun for those who like to travel the absence of journey mode seems like a  huge component to omit.

While some may argue that the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 will not be as superior as the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game some might argue that including journey mode in Switch version would not make a significant difference.  In terms of graphics and visual quality the Xbox One S and the PlayStation 4 Pro will give players a better experience on a 4K TV then the Nintendo Switch.   While some people may call the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 a potential downgrade from the Xbox One and PS4 version it can always be looked at as the only portable version of the game since its still unclear on whether or not it will be featured on the PlayStation Vita or not.  The fact that the Nintendo Switch only has a hard drive with 32 GB  while the Xbox One S and the PlayStation 4 Pro features up to 1 TB may be one of the reasons why Journey Mode is absent on the Switch version.  Also, exclusion of the Frostbite Engine on the Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 is something that sounds interesting while making people more anxious to see what the portable version of the game will be like.
