Sometimes its hard to believe that the Guitar Hero series has been around for over a decade.  When the Guitar Hero series started back in the mid 00’s many people were blown away by the the concept of the game when it was released for the PlayStation 2.  When the original game was released for the PlayStation 2 it had eventually sold over 2 million units worldwide while being a commercial success in the gaming market. Since the release of the original Guitar Hero game we had seen various other titles in the series released for the Nintendo Wii & Wii U including Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock, Guitar Hero World Tour, Guitar Hero 5, DJ Heroes I & II along with other titles.   The latest Guitar Hero game that we have seen on a Nintendo based console was released back in 2015.  Since Guitar Hero Live was released in late 2015 the Wii U version of the game failed to reach a quarter of a million units worldwide in sales.  While the Xbox One version of Guitar Hero Live managed to sell over half a million worldwide in terms of sales the PlayStation 4 version turn out the be the more successful of the three ports.

Even though, we have not much about a potential Guitar Hero game for the Nintendo Switch its definitely something that many people would like to see.  Since its release the Nintendo Switch has become one of the most popular consoles in the gaming market.   The Wii U was not nearly as popular as the Nintendo Switch when it was released backin in 2012 and is seen as a commercial failure as a game console compared to the original Wii console and the Switch.  If the world were to see a Guitar Hero game for the Nintendo Switch within the next year or two it would definitely be something that people who already own the Switch console would consider on buying especially if they are a fan of the series.
