There were were some racing titles mainly from the Nintendo Entertainment System that were not too popular but were considered memorable classics. Games such as Rad Racer and RoadBlasters were fun to play for the NES back in the 80’s. The question on whether or not games like Rad Racer and RoadBlasters would work today if they were given 3D is something that is definitely one that is debatable. We have seen the continuation of the Sega Outrun for the Xbox during the 00’s when Outrun 2 was released.
The racing genre of gaming was more popular than ever before during the 00’s. If games like Rad Racer and RoadBlasters received 3D remakes during the 00’s they could have a had a significant success depending on how they are marketed and what consoles they are on. On the Nintendo GameCube games like Rad Racer and RoadBlasters could have stood out way more opposed to PS2. Remakes for titles like Rad Racer and RoadBlasters could have stood out on the Xbox as well but sales would vary between each console.
