When it comes down to RPG titles of the 90’s Chrono Trigger has been a game that many people have wanted to see remade for a very long time. There were so many things about Chrono Trigger that was appealing during the 16-bit era including the graphics, soundtrack, storyline and gaming mechanics. In fact, Chrono Trigger is generally regarded as one of the best RPG titles to have been released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System back in the early 90’s. After Chrono Trigger was released for the SNES many people was probably hoping that the game would receive a 16 bit sequel following that particular game. While the world never got to see a 16 bit sequel for Chrono Trigger it got witness the release of a 3D game for the Sony PlayStation entitled Chrono Cross in 1999.

While Chrono Cross was a cool 3D RPG title for the Sony PlayStation the game was not quite as popular as Chrono Trigger was back in 1995. Even though, it great that we got to witness the release of some type of 3D Chrono game back in the 90’s many people have been dying to see to see an actual remake of the original Chrono Trigger game for the SNES. The idea of Square Enix giving Chrono Trigger 3D remake or quite possibly making a new game altogether would be nothing short of amazing. Having a 3D Chrono game quite possibly on the Unreal Engine would be something that retro and modern day gamers would pay $60 to see for consoles like PlayStation 4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch.
