When it comes down to 3D Zelda titles Skyward Sword was one of the best that Nintendo has made in terms of visual quality and gameplay within the past fifteen years. After Nintendo had released Zelda: Skyward Sword for both Wii consoles during the early 10’s the game was something many people were very anxious to play. In terms of graphics and visual presentation The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword felt like a cross between “Wind Waker” and Twilight Princess which were both released in the 00’s. The brightness of color in this game was reminiscent of the Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker while the character art and design looked similar to that of Twilight Princess. Also, the game had a very intriguing plot that involves Link who was prophesied to defeat one of the main villains in the game known as Demise. After Link defeats Demise he also must destroy a spiritual being from his sword named Ghirahim who intends on resurrecting him using by Link as a living sacrifice.

As players progress throughout the game they will discover interesting plot twists and find shocking revelations about some of the characters in the game. In terms of gaming mechanics the Wii remote and Nunchuck had provided an exciting yet somewhat challenging experience for some people to use during battles. The fights against bosses and other foes in this game were probably not as easy as many people expected them to be. The artificial intelligence for some of the battles in Skyward Sword pushes players to utilize strategic methods on how to defeat the enemies in the game. During battles players can utilize various types of weapons such as: Swords Quivers, Bows and Shields which are very helpful during gameplay. In terms of boss battles everyone has their own respective opinion on which one was the most difficult. While some people may argue that Moldarach was the toughest boss in the game others may believe that the battles with the Imprisoned was the hardest.

Along with having to fight difficult bosses players can unlock a variety of new side quests as they progress throughout the game. After completing various side quests players can earn Gratitude Crystals as they travel throughout Skyloft. The storytelling aspect of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was pretty good especially considering the fact that no audio was used during the dialogue between each character in the game. Shortly, after the The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was released the game had managed to sell over half a million copies within a month. Also, since its worldwide release the game has sold close to four million units worldwide for the Nintendo Wii and the Wii-U. Even though, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword has not sold as much worldwide as Twilight Princess its still an amazing game. Also, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess has been out for over a decade while Skyward Sword was released a few years ago. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword took over five years to develop following the release of Twilight Princess in 2006. Since its release many people would agree that five plus years was worth the wait following the release of the Twilight Princess in the mid 00’s.
