When the Final Fight series was developed back in the late 80’s it was known to be one of the best beat em up fighting games of its time.  Since its release the Final Fight series has been rivaled by other game titles including the Streets of Rage and Double Dragon which were also popular during the mid to late 80’s and the early 90’s.  While many people enjoyed the Final Fight series during the early 90’s it began to decline in popularity shortly after due to the rise of head to head fighting games such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat.  Just because the beat em up genre of gaming had declined in popularity it does not mean that the quality of titles such as the Final Fight series did as well.

As many people know the original Final Fight game received an arcade release unlike its two successors which were both exclusive for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Even though, the original Final Fight game was probably the most popular one out of the trilogy the other two games were still enjoyable classics to play during the 16 bit era.  With characters such as Mike Haggar, Guy, Cody and Lucia.  It would come to the surprise of many people if Capcom ever decides to make a new 2D Final Fight game for the Nintendo Switch.  Even though, the beat em up genre is not as popular as it used to be another Final Fight game would be something to the delight of many Capcom fans.
