X Men Legends II (2)

The very first X-Mens Legends game was a title that many people enjoyed following its release in 2004.  The multiplayer gameplay along with the cast of characters that people got to choose from was very exciting.  X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse was developed mainly by Raven Software and published by Activision for multiple game consoles in 2005. While the gameplay for X-Men Legends II is similar to the first title one of the main differences many will see in this game includes the plot.  The storyline in this game sees the X-Men working with the Brotherhood of Mutants to stop Apocalypse who seeks to destroy the entire world.  X-Men Legends II included various playable characters including Wolverine, Cyclops, Iceman, Gambit, Storm, Rouge and Magneto.  This game also features villains such as: Archangel, Omega Red Mr. Sinister, Holocaust and others.  While X-Men Legends II includes a certain amount of playable characters in the game there are also others who are exclusive to certain consoles.

While some people probably disagreed with the fact that certain ports included exclusive characters they would also argue that they should have all been included in one game regardless of what console they bought.  In terms of which version of X-Men Legends II was the best many would say the PlayStation 2 port was worth buying the most.  Even though, X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse did not sell as much as its prequel it was still a pretty cool action adventure game that probably does not get the type of credit it deserves.

Looking back at X-Men Legends II now is pretty cool especially considering how successful X-Men: Apocalypse was following it release following its release back in May 2016.  Since its release X-Men: Apocalypse has grossed in over $543 million in revenue and was generally regarded as a good movie by many people.  As fun as the first two X-Men Legends movies were many have wondered for a long time one whether or not we will ever see an X-Men Legends III.
