When it comes down to racing games the Midnight Club series is probably one of the most memorable overall in regards to street racing depending on who you ask. When the very first Midnight Club game was released in 2000 for the PlayStation 2 many people regarded it as a very fun street racing game. As time progressed the Midnight Club series had improved both graphically and mechanically. When Rockstar San Diego developed Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition in 2005 many people were impressed various aspects of the game including its visual quality and its fast paced simulation. Along with having impressive visuals Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition had a pretty cool online multiplayer mode along with offline single player content that would keep players busy for hours. When it comes down to single player gameplay the career mode for Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition would probably stand out the most.
The career mode in Midnight Club 3 gave players the chance to participate in many races along the the opportunity to unlock new cars along with the ability to customize their cars. As many people know the cars are divided into four different classes which are A,B, C and D. Along with cars being in different classes players have many different cars to choose from such as the Lotus Elise, Mitsubishi Lancer, Nissan 350Z, McLaren F1 LM, Volkswagen Phaeton and many more. When it comes down to gameplay and overall quality many people would agree that the home console versions of Midnight Club 3 were more superior than the PlayStation Portable port. Not only did the PlayStation Portable version of Midnight Club 3 have a lower framerate but it also lacked the exciting online multiplayer gameplay which made it exciting outside of single player mode. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition is one of the most exciting street racing games for the PlayStation 2 along with the original Xbox game console that many people would consider a classic to this day.
