It seems like the Mortal Kombat 1 game from 2023 has recently achieved a new yet impressive milestone as of late. Mortal Kombat 1 has been reported to reach 6.2 Million sales since its multi-platform two years ago. Mortal Kombat 1 is a game where the story takes place in a alternate universe but features the same fan favorite characters that everyone knows and loves. While Mortal Kombat 1 had initially received criticism for not being being as edgy as its predecessors MK10 and MK11 in relation to dialogue its still a fun game in general. Mortal Kombat 1 is a game that has yet to achieve the level of commercial success as its past two predecessors. But it seems like NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros is more than willing to feature more DLC content to add to the overall appeal of Mortal Kombat 1. Aside from hidden characters within the MK Universe we got to see names from different franchises like T-1000 Terminator, Ghostface, Conan the Barbarian, Homelander and Peacemaker in MK1. We are most likely going to get more DLC content for MK1 within the next couple of years or so. Its possible that MK1 could end up selling 10 million copies by the tie we get to 2028 since a sequel might not be coming out anytime in the near future.
