While some might argue that the relationship between Master Chief and Contra from Halo 4 made for great storytelling; it seems like the rest of the game was not on par with what we were given in Halo 5: Guardians. While the story for Halo 5: Guardians got a mixed reception from many players people loved the multiplayer game modes.

Also, the art style, armor customization and the overall gameplay for Halo 5: Guardians exceeded many people’s expectations. Also, the inclusion of Warzone is what made Halo 5: Guardians one of the multiplayer first-person shooter games of the 2010’s decade. The return of older multiplayer game modes like Capture the Flag and Death Match made a return in Halo 5 which added more depth to the game itself. Halo 5: Guardains campaign mode was bigger than its predecessor and had 15 missions. Halo 5: Guardians also saw the introduction of Spartan Jameson Locke who ended up being the main deuteragonist of the game. Halo 5: Guardians was a game that made Microsoft Studios more than $400 million within a year. Despite, Halo 5: Guardians not being as good the older entries created by Bungie such as the Halo 2 and 3 ODST from ’04-’09 at least the gameplay was great. Halo 5: Guardians was a game that was released after the franchise had reached its peak in popularity during the 2000’s and still ended up being one of the best first-person shooters of the 2010’s decade. Even though, Halo 5: Guardians is not considered the best installment in the franchise it has still managed to age gracefully within the past decade. While 343 Industries may not put out anything remotely as good as the Halo 3 from the 2000’s Halo 5: Guardians proves that they are capable of putting out a decent game regardless.
