Its hard to believe that the Ori seres has been around for a decade now. The Ori series does not get the type of mainstream attention that it deserves and is probably one of the most underrated video game franchises to come out of the 2010’s decade. The very first Ori game appeared in 2015 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox One. The popularity of Ori and the Blind Forest eventually lead to the game being ported for the Nintendo Switch back in 2019 about a year for the second main installment came out in 2020. Ori and the Blind Forest along with Ori and the Will of the Wisps were among Microsoft Studios most distinctive IP’s because the combined the platform-adventure genre with Metroidvania gameplay elements. Both Ori games was developed by Austrian video game developer Moon Studios who recently shared some interesting news regarding the series. Thomas Mahler the CEO of Moon Studios has recently revealed that the Ori series has sold more than 15 million copies worldwide within the past decade. As it currently stands both Ori games are currently available on Xbox Game Pass but there are many wondering when Xbox Game Studios are going to come out another game.
