Marvel vs Capcom 2 is considered to be one of the most iconic arcade fighting titles within the history of gaming. Marvel vs Capcom 2 came out 25 years ago in the year 2000 and is considered to be one of the most addictive fighting titles of the 00’s decade. Marvel vs Capcom 2 was the sequel to the critical acclaimed MvC title from ’98 and was praised for its roster depth. However, there were many gamers who felt that Marvel vs Capcom 2 was a game that recycled old character sprites from previous games. Even though, gamers were polarized about certain aspects of Marvel vs Capcom 2 such as the graphics the 3v3 gameplay was something that was universally praised by critics. Marvel vs Capcom 2 was considered to be one of the greatest crossover fighting games of its time and its something that people still praise to this day. Despite, the bland level designs and mediocre soundtrack included in MvC2 the game is both fun and challenging enough to make players forget about its overall flaws. Marvel vs Capcom 2 has a roster of around 55 playable characters and was arguably better than what Capcom gave us in MvC3 back in 2011. Even though, Marvel vs Capcom 2 was unbalanced and arguably broken many would go on record and argue that it was more fun than Capcom vs SNK 2 from 2001.
