There has been a lot of talk about the future of DC in relation to gaming industry. It seems like Warner Bros. Discovery is looking to get out of the gaming business especially due to failure of The Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The latest Suicide Squad game had cost Warner Bros at least $200 million and was was panned by most critics. It was obvious that killing of Batman in Suicide Squad: KTJL was a huge mistake and a decision that Rocksteady Studio probably regrets. That being said it looks like a potential Injustice 3 game or a sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight is out of the question. While Warner Bros may be giving up on gaming the company is still interested in making money of the DC Universe. Warner Bros. knows that characters like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman are still popular among the masses. Batman has a new comic book series that is set to debut in September 2024 based on the Arkham video games. Top executives at Warner Bros know despite DC not being quite as popular as Marvel at the moment the IP’s are something that they could use for their own personal projects. Warner Bros has to do whatever they can to try and compensate for the loss they recently received within the past year.
