There is no doubt that Elden Ring is one of the hottest RPG video games from 2022. Elden Ring has been viewed as the best video game of 2022 by numerous publications because of its creativity and how challenging it was. Elden Ring has six different endings and provides players with roughly around 60 hours of gameplay. Not only was Elden Ring a massive commercial success following its release in February 2022 but it has managed to sell more than 13 million copies worldwide across multiple gaming platforms. Elden Ring has been released on consoles like PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC. Elden Ring is definitely one of the greatest games that FromSoftware has created and in terms of open-world environments it rivals the likes of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The gameplay for Elden Ring felt like a cross between Seiko: Shadows Die Twice along with Dark Souls 3.

The environments in Elden Ring felt immersive and could give games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Witcher 3 a run for their money. Even though, Elden Ring is remains to be one of the most popular third-party video games of two years it many believe that it should be ported for Nintendo next generation console. The Switch 2 is expected to be announced by Nintendo sometime in 2025 and some believe that Elden Ring would be an attraction on that console. The only problem is that Elden Ring is “M” rated while Nintendo make consoles and video games that caters more towards children. But since Activision plans on bring a ton of “M” rated Call of Duty game to the Nintendo consoles within the next decade; Elden Ring being on the Switch 2 should be perfectly fine. Nintendo is lacking in high profile third-party action RPG games and Elden Ring is something that could be an attraction on the Switch 2 if the console is not backwards compatible.
