There are many people who are unhappy about the storyline for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. While the game was obviously an attempt for Rocksteady Studios to user in the new generation of DC anti-heroes as the main characters it was done in a way that rubbed many people the wrong way. The Justice League was taken control of by the main antagonist Brainiac with exception of Wonder Woman and they must be stopped. Harley Quinn, King Shark, Boomerang and Deadshot are all cool names but the fact that it took all four of them to take down each member of the Justice League made them look weak. Flash was slightly more entertaining an menacing as a villain and Green Lantern came off as more of a wiseass. Superman seemed condescending than ever and was even shocked that the Suicide Squad managed to take down Batman. Wonder Woman reluctance and initial refusal to team up with the Suicide Squad against the rest of the Justice League made sense to some degree because they were her comrades. But many felt that the Suicide Squad sitting back and watching Superman kill Wonder Woman was a bit awkward. But than again Wonder Woman thought the Suicide Squad were nothing but criminals and felt that she was morally superior to them in comparison. It felt like out of all the members of the Justice League to die Wonder Woman was the one who looked the strongest.

Wonder Woman was not controlled by Brainiac and she put up a decent fight against Superman before meeting her demise. The fact that Superman survived after Wonder Woman stabbed him in the chest with a big Krptonite shard showed that he was clearly an OP character in Suicide Square: Kill the Justice League. Suicide Squad: KTJL had its fair share comedic moments and felt like an “M” rated movie with third-person shooter gameplay but there many people who were in shock that Batman was killed off Rocksteady Studios. While Nightmare Batman was kinda cool to see in the video game him being defeated by the Suicide Squad and killed by Harley Quinn was truly sad. There are many DC fans who believe that Batman’s legacy is ruined and that the Arkham series is officially dead especially if Suicide Square: KTJL is canon. Without the Batman Arkham series Sony would not of had any inspiration to create Marvel’s Spider-Man which came out in 2018. Its quite possible that Rocksteady Studios knew that Batman would never become as popular as he once was in relation to video games.

Everyone knows that Spider-Man is the top name when it comes down to superhero related action-adventure games. However, many people believe that Batman deserved a better sendoff than what he got especially since the character as been around since the 1940’s. Some might view Suicide Squad: KTJL as a passing of the torch to the new generation of heroes or anti-heroes while other see the game as a complete burial of the Justice League altogether. Suicide Squad: KTJL has not only made long time DC fans angry but it managed to cost Warner Bros. Games at $200 million. Batman as we once knew him is officially dead and at this point there are probably many people that do not even care whether or not Injustice 3 ever happens. The Suicide Squad game shows us that Batman at this strongest could not defeat four ex-cons even though he has taken down some of the biggest super-villains in the DC franchise.
