Its hard to believe that Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury came out 20 years ago. Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury was released for Game Boy Advance in ’04 and it was the sequel to the critically acclaimed DBZ: Legacy of Goku II. Dragon Ball : Buu’s Fury focused on the World Tournament Arc all the way up to the Buu Saga with Kid Buu being the finall boss of the game. The gameplay mechanics in Buu’s Fury was pretty much the same as Legacy of Goku II but with slightly improved gameplay mechanics in the form added special moves. Also Buu’s Fury allowed players to go SSJ3 as Goku when they fight against Majin Buu in different parts of the game. There various foes from the series included in Buu’s Fury including Dabura, Majin Vegeta, Babadi and even Broly who second movie came out sometime between the World Tournament Arc and the Buu saga.

Players were able to play as characters such as Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Kid Trunks and Goten along with fused characters like Gotenks and Vegito. Dragon Ball Z: Buu’s Fury was one of the best non-Budokai DBZ titles of the 2000’s and was one of the most high profile action role-playing games of the GBA era. Webfoot Technologies was probably one of the best video game developers for the DBZ next to along with Spike and Bandi Namco. DBZ: Buu’s Fury was among the most memorable GBA titles of the 2000’s along with the Pokemon, Super Mario and Sonic Advance series. DBZ: Buu’s Fury is still a very fun game to play on Game Boy Advance two decades later especially for those who are hardcore fans of Dragon Ball Z. Its a shame that DBZ: Buu’s Fury will never be remastered in the future but its a game that captured the magic of the Dragon Ball Z franchise during the 2000’s.
