The upcoming WWE 2K24 video game is something that has been trending on social media since its announcement on January 22nd. WWE 2K24 will be developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K and is set to be released for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC in early March 2024. The main theme for WWE 2K24 revolves around celebrating 40 years of the legendary sports entertainment spectacle WrestleMania which has been around since the 80’s. In WWE 2K24 the famous 2K Showcase Mode will be returning focusing on some of the greatest matches in WrestleMania featuring some of the biggest WWE SuperStars of all-time. Playable characters in the 2K Showcase Mode will feature the likes of Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, The Rock, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Randy Savage, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Triple H, Shawn Michaels and many more. WWE 2K24 will see the return of popular features that were present in the previous two installments including MyGM, MyFACTION, MyRISE along with Universe Mode.
It should also be noted that the Creation Mode in WWE 2K24 is rumored to be one of the best that 2K has produced in a very long time. The inclusion of new match types including Casket, Gauntlet and Special Referee is something that people are excited about since they have been absent in WWE games for years now. The introduction of an Ambulance Match is also something everyone is excited about because its something that should have been done at least a decade ago. WWE 2K24 will feature legendary Superstars along with modern stars from Raw and Smackdown and NXT will make for an insane roster of pro wrestlers. WWE 2K24 is feels like an extension of WWE 2K14 from a decade ago which focused on celebrating 30 years of WrestleMania. WWE 2K14 was probably one of the best 2K pro wrestling titles of the 2010’s decade and WWE 2K24 may repeat that trend in the 2020’s decade. Based on what we know there are supposed to be multiple versions of WWE 2K24 including the Deluxe, Standard along with the Standard Cross Generations Digital Edition which are all supposed to be released between March 5th-8th.
